Terms of service

Last updated 10 August 2026

What this is

Front Range Company is a Colorado limited liability company owned and operated by Daniel Usman, in Littleton, Colorado. It builds and repairs websites and does search optimisation for businesses.

These terms cover using this website and working with me. They're written in plain English on purpose. If any part of it isn't clear, ask before you agree to it.

The free audit

Paid work

  1. Everything gets agreed in writing first. Before any paid work starts I send an email stating exactly what I'll do, what it costs, when it'll be done, and what I'm not doing. Your reply approving it is our agreement.
  2. Anything new gets quoted separately. If something turns up that wasn't in the agreed list, I'll tell you what it is and what it costs before doing it. I won't do extra work and then bill you for it.
  3. Payment. One-off jobs under $200 are paid up front. Larger jobs are half up front and half when it's finished and you've seen it. Ongoing monthly work is billed monthly in advance.
  4. Monthly work can be cancelled any time. No minimum term, no cancellation fee, no notice period. Tell me and it stops at the end of the month you've paid for.

What is never guaranteed

This is the important part, and I'd rather over-explain it than have you disappointed later.

If you want someone who'll promise you a ranking, there are plenty of people who will. I'm not one of them, and that's deliberate.

Your side of it

Who owns what

Backups and mistakes

I take a full backup before changing anything on a site that already exists, and I check the backup actually downloaded before I start. If I break something, I fix it at no charge. That's on me.

That said, you should have your own backups too. Any business's website should, whoever is working on it.

What I won't do

These aren't negotiable and no amount of money changes them:

If you ask me to do one of these, I'll say no and explain why. If it's a dealbreaker, we're not a fit and there are no hard feelings.

Ending things

Either of us can stop at any time. If you cancel partway through a fixed-price job, you pay for the work completed to that point and you keep it. If I have to step away, I'll refund anything you've paid for work I haven't done and hand over everything I've got.

If I've genuinely dropped the ball, I'll refund you without you having to ask twice.

Liability

I'm one person running a small business. My total liability for any claim connected to the work is limited to the amount you've paid me for that work in the twelve months before the claim.

I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost business or lost data) arising from search engine changes, third-party platform decisions, or anything outside my reasonable control. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under Colorado law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts serving Arapahoe County, Colorado.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

Changes and questions

If these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with them. Work already agreed in writing runs under the terms that were in place when you agreed it.
